The members of OGC continue the fun during the summer months with Summer Workshop Fun!!
Report by Bonnie Hansen:
Next Summer Workshop is Wednesday, July 19th, at 10:00AM on propagation techniques. Members are encouraged to bring plant material to “show and tell” and share propagation tips and techniques. This will be an informal conversation among us to share expertise and gift pass-along plants. Join us for the educational and social interactions.
The first summer workshop was a huge success with a robust turnout. Two new members signed up, Sue Furry from Modern Widow’s Club, and Susan Battista from Unity Orlando. Sue Furry was very active in garden clubs when she lived in South Bend, Indiana. Sue stenciled a large black and pink pot with flip flops. Sooo Florida! Susan works at Disney’s Hollywood Studios . She adjusted her schedule there to join us.
Artist Linda Tambini led the Workshop. Linda was a professional artist for many years and had her own shop in Venice Beach, California. Linda donated the paint and the use of her floral stencils.
Several pots were donated to decorate tables at a future Garden Club event. Vicki provided delicious homemade German chocolate cake.
