Volunteering a few weeks at the FFGC Wekiva Youth Camp is an experience I look forward to each summer. If you aren’t familiar with our camp, please google it! In 2024 our camp celebrated our 50th anniversary!
Campers come from all over Florida each Summer to enjoy the experience. They make new friends and celebrate spending time with past camp friends. Many long time campers continue to become Counselors, Staff, Craft and Nature Coordinators,and Directors.
The days are filled with fun, friends, and education. Programs such as Nature, Crafts, and Swimming are enjoyed by all, as well as Wekiva Springs swimming, nature walks and night 
rides. Evenings include Camper Skit Night, Counselor Hunt, paid programing covering wildlife education, falconry, raptor rehabilitation, science experiments, snake programs for children, Indian and Native American programs to mention a few.
