Program: Prune Properly for Prolific Plants
Proper pruning of spring flowering shrubs, plants, and small trees can mean the difference between bountiful blossoms and bare branches. Whether you do the work yourself, or hire a lawn care company, knowing what to prune and when, is essential for encouraging thriving azaleas, hibiscus, camellias, crape myrtles, beautyberry, firebush, plumbago, and many others. Learn when, where, and how to prune for prolific blossoms and full, happy plants. April L. Harris will be teaching and showing us what is best in the area of pruning. She is an Orange County Master Gardener, a board member of the Windermere Garden Club, and serves as a National Parks Service Volunteer at Canaveral National Seashore on the Wilson’s Plover shorebird monitoring team. A retired university administrator, she lives in Windermere.
