Program: Marvels of the Night
Dena Wild will share with OGC members about pollinating insects that were interacting with plants 50 million years before the first dinosaurs, leading to the diversity of plants we have today. Dena is a certified master gardener with 50 years of gardening experience and 30 years specializing in growing herbs and vegetables. She holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon. Her urban horticulture education includes “hands-in-the-dirt” experience, post-graduate studies in landscape architecture at the University of Colorado, the Boulder and Orange County Master Gardener programs, and the University of Florida’s Best Management Practices for the Green Industry.
