Wekiva Youth Camp
WEKIVA YOUTH CAMP welcomes you….
WEKIVA YOUTH CAMP is a non-profit, residential nature camp, an environmental education program, begun in 1959. The camp is for 3rd thru 8th Grade youth sponsored by the the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. (FFGC) for the purpose of instilling a love and respect for the REAL Florida in our youth through nature study, conservation and protection of our environment for the future of our state and our planet. Wekiva Youth Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association. The camp, owned by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, is located in Wekiva State Park. Many Florida garden club members serve as volunteers, counselors and instructors to work with the 3rd to 8th grade students each summer. The Garden Clubs also assist financially with donations for scholarships, and the many needs for maintaining the camp and providing three meals a day. The camp is comprised of six one-week sessions during June and July. Campers enjoy a unique outdoor living and learning experience, with close supervision.
Our motto for our youth is: “Campers Today-Environmental Leaders Tomorrow.”
